I never thought I could turn my passion into a career. Sure I was into sports
early on becoming a PBC boxer when I was 15 and fighting for the golden
gloves in the felt forum of MSG. During college I studied Tae Kwon Do
where I achieved a first degree black belt. I wanted to broaden my
knowledge of the martial arts because my philosophy is to always be a
student and continue to educate so I studied Ninjutsu under Shihan Allie
Alberigo and achieved a purple belt. Again wanting more I trained under
UFC champion Matt Serra in Brazilian Jiu - jitsu and in Muay Thai under Kru
James Gabert.

My philosophy is to train like an athlete and my knowledge of the science
that goes into training with proper form and technique is passed on to my
clients ranging in age from 8 years old to our golden seniors.

I have studied the NASM decree as well as A.C.E., two of the most
prestigious trainer tools one can possess. At the cozy and personal facility
Yard Time I train, coach and even have a new endeavor Gym 101 for those
who want to feel confident using the gym, want to increase efficiency, or
have fallen into doing the same thing every time you go to the gym rut.
Come see me, I'll fix that.

I decided to become a certified trainer after being convinced by family I would be decent at it.  So off I went. My entire life I have been a very active person. I wrestled all through school, and during my freshman year I would leave a 3 hour or so wrestling practice only to arrive at my boxing gym for another 2 hours. I got a taste for weight training at the age of 12 and it escalated from there. I competed in the Arizona Copper Classic bodybuilding contest at the age of 16 and won my category and placed third in the men’s novice division. I dabbled in jiu jitsu on and off for a few years as well. Fitness is movement. Whether you like to do cardio all the
time or calisthenics or, like me, lift things up and put them down, they all have their benefits.  Set your goals, and do what you have to, to achieve them. It’s not a temporary thing. It’s a lifestyle. Do what makes you feel good. Well…. It’s not going to feel good all the time. But the end result will be well worth it.
